Camera Shy? Here's How I Found the Courage to Film, Anyway.

Me, Filming My First Online Course, "CRUSH Social Anxiety!"

Does getting in front of a camera make you cringe?

The second someone aims a camera at me, my mind goes straight to:

“Am I gonna look fat? Is my hair frizzy? Does my smile look weird?”

It got so bad that when I knew I had to get in front of the camera to film my online course, I took almost three weeks just to work up the nerve.

I waited around for a new piece of filming equipment to come in the mail…  then another… all as an excuse not to start!

But they did come in handy!

If you want to get people’s attention online these days, getting in front of the camera isn’t really “optional” anymore.

In the age of AI, People’s trust in whether are things are “real or fake” is at an all time low.

AI is changing the game, competition is climbing, Zoom and calls are the new normal.

I know. Technology was supposed to make everything easier. But it feels like the opposite is happening!

So if you’re holding onto old fears about being seen, about being judged, about what people will think…

It might be time to get a little more brave about how we show up, imperfections and all.

We’re going to have to face those fears head-on.

Even when we know that some people might just be *gasp!*…judging us.

So how did I finally overcome my fears and start filming the intro for my new online course, CRUSH Social Aniety?

Instead of treating it like a chore, I decided I was going to do it for fun.

Instead of pressuring myself to make the perfect video, I told myself:
“Just film it. If you don’t like it, you can toss it. No one else is watching but you.”

The first time I EVER started recording myself (even just singing privately)…

I was so shy that I did not even want to play it back to myself.

It was like, “Oh God, I don’t even want to know how good or bad I really am!”

But the truth is, you aren’t “Bad” or “Good.” You’re just you, trying something for the first time.

Like a baby taking its first steps.

You wouldn’t judge a baby, would you?

So just record it. Watch it back.

And critique yourself with love, not self-hatred…

If you choose to love yourself anyway

You start to see your flaws for what they really are:

Just things that you can either accept or change, based on your own personal preference.

And before you know it, you are getting better than even the people you once thought were “naturals” at this stuff!

The secret is self-love, patience, and fun!

Sounds easier said than done, right?

That’s Why I’m Creating My New Online Course, “CRUSH Social Anxiety!”

In this course, I’m going to dive even deeper into the exact techniques that helped me not just get on camera, but finally start making bigger moves in my life.

It particularly focuses on one of the biggest hurdles:

Social anxiety!

Some of us think of social anxiety as something thats embarrassing to admit.

Or maybe even just say we “don’t have it.”

But the truth is that if you throw yourself into a new situation that you’re not used to, feelings do come up!

Nerves, embarrassment, feeling out of place.

Playing back what we said in our head over and over, wondering how we came across!

It’s not just you. It’s actually normal.

But when it holds you back from life–that’s not acceptable!

I want you to live life to the fullest! To live the life of your dreams!

So inside, I will show you how to:

  • Build real confidence from the inside out

  • Quiet the harsh inner critic

  • Create safe spaces to practice without fear

  • Turn “awkward moments” into genuine connection

  • Step into your next chapter without hiding anymore

Because when you stop running from fear, and you start moving with love, there is no limit to what you can create!
